Question for the Week:
What kind of lights are around us?
Weekly Foundational Read-Aloud:
Round Trip by Ann Jonas
Questions to ask your child in response to the read-aloud:
· The people in this book rode in a car and on the subway. Do cars and subways have lights? Why?
· What do you notice about the pictures in this book? Why do you think the illustrator only used black and white?
Learn at Home activity for today:
Crayon fun
Using a coloring sheet of your choice, you can sit with your child and emphasize coloring within the lines. Children can work on coloring slowly and thoughtfully. Ask your child to practice coloring with varying types of pressure. Ask how the drawing changes when they apply more pressure to the crayon versus when they color lightly.
