Weekly Foundational Read-Aloud:
Up in the Garden, Down in the Dirt by Kate Messner

The YouTube Link to the weekly Read-Aloud is located: HERE

Questions to ask your child in response to the read-aloud:
·      Why do the little girl and Nana water the garden?
·      What happens in the garden in the fall?

Learn at Home activity for today:

And Then...
Take turns imagining what comes next in a story. Start a story, then pass it to your child to determine what comes next with a line such as, “and then...” You and your child can pass the story back and forth until it comes to an end.

Continued Weekly Activity

Did you eat any roots/leaves/stems today (for example, potatoes, lettuce or celery)? Talk about the parts of a plant with your child and discuss what kinds of plants they eat.  Have your child draw a picture of their favorite plant that they eat.
I would love to see the drawings! Please feel free to text me or email a picture of your child's drawing
