Monday, April 20th!

Updates

·      The Learn at Home Packet is still available for pick up at the school from 9am-1pm every day this week.
·      Online Learning will continue until May 15th.

Plants

Question for the Week:
What are plants?

Weekly Foundational Read-Aloud: 
Up in the Garden, Down in the Dirt by Kate Messner

Questions to ask your child in response to the read-aloud:
·                What are some things that happen up in the garden?
·                What are somethings that happen down in the dirt?

Learn at Home activity for today:

Did you eat any roots/leaves/stems today (for example, potatoes, lettuce or celery)? Talk about the parts of a plant with your child and discuss what kinds of plants they eat.  Have your child draw a picture of their favorite plant that they eat.

Scholastic Learn at Home - The website offers multiple days of content including read-alouds, movement activities, STEM activities, drawing activities, building activities, etc.  

One of the parents suggested to set up a free Zoom account and have one family member or friend teach their child something new each day via a Zoom call!
